One of Australian greatest Cricket All Rounders Doug Walters was born in Dungog NSW 21-12-1945

Walters made his Test debut as a 20 year old against England on the 10-12-1965 and went on to play 74 test for Australia, and scored 5,357 runs at an average of 48.26 runs per innings, scoring 15 centuries and 33 fifties along the way, and a top score of 250 not out.

Walters also bowled medium pace and took 49 wickets at an average of 29.08 and had his best bowling figures of 5/66, and Walters took 43 catches and was one of Australia's greatest fieldsman.
